Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) — Listen up coffee lovers, every time you take a sip of brew you could be helping a local school plant a garden.

Cafe do Paraiso is pledging to donate $1 per pound of coffee sold. The money will be split between a charity in the state where it’s bought and Brazil, where the coffee beans come from.

In Nevada, the money will go to Green Our Planet. The organization helps schools fundraise for a garden.

Right now, they are raising money for Mabel Hoggard Elementary School. The school’s garden is 20 years old and needs new soil, new beds, and a new irrigation system. Cafe do Paraiso wants to help. Owner Owen Carver says, “I wanted to make a commitment that I wish every other company would which is giving back to the community in their bottom line. So it’s built in to their business model.”
