This very unique smoked single origin loose leaf black tea from Southern Region of Malawi, Africa was grown in the Thyolo District on the Shire Highlands on the Satemwa Tea Estate.  This tea has an unforgettable smokey tone which is very strong in dry fragrance, wet aroma, and on the palate.  The tea leaves were first fully oxidized as a normal black tea and then smoked over guava wood to give it its strong smoked woody flavor.

Flavors Notes:  Smokey incense, oak, cedar, rich, aromatic, mint, ginger, herbs, smooth, soft, & creamy mouthfeel.

Product Description

HOW TO BREW

Use 3 grams of leaf per 100mL of water.

Use filtered or spring water, and boil the water. Steep the leaves at 185F – 195F – if you don’t have a thermometer, you can let the water rest for 3-5 minutes before steeping.  (Effective with both Gongfu style & Western style brewing.)

Steep for 3-5 minutes, shorter if drinking straight, longer if drinking with milk. Leaves can be infused up to 4 times.

We also encourage you to experiment with brewing this tea and develop your own brewing methods. Brew the tea as you like it!
